For children who are new to Rowan school, we arrange transition plans with parents or carers. This is done at a new parents information evening which is held in the summer term. Staff aim to visit all children before they start at Rowan School either in their home or current educational setting.

For our Year 6 children who are moving onto secondary school, we work closely with the schools that they will be attending to ensure as smooth a transition process as possible. This involves staff from their new school coming to visit them here and visits with our staff to their new school. If needed we will arrange a more bespoke transition plan for children who may need extra support.
