Admin & Clerical Level 2 Grade 4 £26403 - £28142 pro rata

37 hours per week / 39 weeks per year (8.00am - 4.00pm)

The Governing Body are looking to appoint an Admin/ Clerical Officer to join our busy Admin Team as soon as possible.

We are seeking a welcoming, professional and compassionate individual to join our team as Receptionist. As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, the successful candidate will play a key role in promoting the school's warm, nurturing ethos and ensuring that all stakeholders receive a positive experience.

 

The role encompasses a range of administrative responsibilities, including maintaining accurate pupil records on the school's management information system (SIMS), communicating with parents via text messages, School app and email, school meals administration, and producing correspondence for families. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, flexible, innovative, and professional and dedicated to providing a high level of administrative support and there will be a number of delegated responsibilities to oversee.

Training and support will be provided as required, making this an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is keen to develop their skills within a rewarding school environment.

Rowan School is a special school for primary aged children who have complex speech, language and communication differences.  All our children have an autistic spectrum profile and some present with challenging behaviours.

You will join the office team and working hours will be Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm. A tour of the school will be available to successful candidates who are invited to interview.

Applicants should:

  • Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

  • Have competent levels of literacy and numeracy.

  • Have experience of school administration

  • Be well organised, flexible and able to prioritise

  • Have good time management skills along with the ability to multi task

  • Be proficient in MS Office especially MS Excel & MS Word

  • Have an understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Be highly motivated and hardworking.

  • Be able to form positive relationships with children and adults.

  • Have a willingness to develop their skills.

  • Be able to work as part of a team.

  • Understand the importance of great customer service.
